WPS Business Solutions LLC ("WPS," "we," "us") provides bookkeeping and fractional CFO services to franchisors, franchisees, and multi-unit operators. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, www.wpsbusinesssolutions.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it short and in plain English.

What we collect

Information you give us

Contact form. When you fill out our contact form, we collect your first and last name and email address (required). If you choose to add them, we also collect your phone number, your company or organization name, and whatever you write in "How Can We Help?" You can also tick an optional box to receive marketing emails from us. It's unchecked unless you choose it.
Booking a call. If you click "Book a call," you go to a Google Calendar booking page, where you enter details such as your name and email address so we can schedule the meeting. Google collects that information on our behalf.
Email and phone. If you email us at info@wpsbusinesssolutions.com or call us, we'll get whatever you choose to share.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our website platform (Wix) automatically collects standard technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. It uses this to run, secure, and troubleshoot the site and to give us basic visit statistics.

We don't use advertising pixels or third-party ad-tracking tools on this site.

How we use it

To answer your inquiry and follow up about our services
To schedule and hold calls you book with us
To provide services if you become a client
To send occasional finance tips and WPS updates, but only if you've opted in (see "Marketing emails" below)
To run, secure, and improve the website
To meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations

We don't use your information for anything unrelated to these purposes without telling you first.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as much as they need to do their job:

Wix.com (website, forms, contact management, and email) hosts our website and contact form, stores form submissions in our contact list, provides the site's basic technical and security monitoring, and provides the tools we use to send email. See Wix's Privacy Policy.
Google (scheduling and business email/productivity tools) runs the calendar booking page for calls and provides the business email and productivity tools (Google Workspace) we use to manage inquiries and client communication. See Google's Privacy Policy.

If we change or add providers, we'll pick ones that protect your information the way this policy describes.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or as part of a merger, sale, or reorganization of our business (in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information).

Marketing emails

From time to time, we may send finance tips and WPS news by email.

Opt-in only. We send marketing emails only to people who choose to get them, for example by ticking the optional box on our contact form. Contacting us or booking a call doesn't sign you up.
Easy to leave. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email info@wpsbusinesssolutions.com and ask to be removed.
Opt-outs honored promptly. Once you unsubscribe, we stop marketing emails promptly. We may still email you about an inquiry you've made or services you receive from us.
How they're sent. We send them through our email marketing provider, currently Wix's email marketing tools. Like most email tools, it may record basic information, such as whether an email was opened or a link was clicked, so we can see what's useful.

We don't sell your personal information

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Our website uses a small number of cookies set by Wix that are needed to make the site work: they keep your session running, protect forms against abuse, and help pages load quickly. Examples include svSession, hs, and XSRF-TOKEN. We don't use advertising cookies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some parts of the site, such as the contact form, may not work properly. Google may set its own cookies on its booking page, as described in Google's policy.

How long we keep it

Inquiries and booking details: If you don't become a client, we keep your inquiry for up to 3 years so we have a record of the conversation, then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Marketing list: If you've opted in to marketing emails, we keep your email address on our list until you unsubscribe. After that, we keep only what we need to make sure we don't email you again.
Clients: We keep information for as long as the engagement lasts, and afterward for as long as professional, tax, or legal requirements call for.

How we protect it

The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and hosted on Wix's secured infrastructure. Only people who need access to your information get it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

Client financial data

This policy covers our website only. If you become a client, the financial records, bank and accounting-system access, payroll data, and other information you share for our bookkeeping and CFO work are handled under your engagement agreement with us and the confidentiality terms in it, not under this policy. Please don't send sensitive financial information (such as account numbers or Social Security numbers) through the website contact form.

Your rights

Wherever you live in the US, you can contact us to:

Ask what personal information we have about you
Ask us to correct it
Ask us to delete it
Ask us to stop contacting you, including unsubscribing from marketing emails

Email info@wpsbusinesssolutions.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.

California and other state residents. Some states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, New Jersey, and others, give residents specific privacy rights. Depending on where you live, these may include the right to know, access, correct, and delete your personal information, and to opt out of its sale, targeted advertising, or profiling. We don't sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, but you're welcome to make any of these requests using the contact details below. If we deny your request, you can reply to ask us to reconsider. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf.

Children

Our website and services are for businesses. They're not directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect children's personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Links to other sites

Our site links to third-party sites, such as Google's booking page and our LinkedIn page. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we're not responsible for them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version here and change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll make it clear on the site.
